Bristol Laboratories International S.A (BLISA) is located in Colon Free Zone, Republic of Panama, with approximately 5,000 square meters of land; this facility is rented.

Economic Development

BLISA is a distribution center and performs secondary packaging of pharmaceutical and nutritional products for 150 clients in over 53 countries around the world. The plant is certified as meeting standards set by ISO 9000, TGA (Therapeutic Group Association), cGMP, and local regulatory agencies.
The site is strategically located to attend to international markets such as Central America, CARICOM, South America, Far East, Middle East, Mexico, and others.
Products and pharmaceutical forms handled at this site include:
- Cephalosporin Products
  - Oral suspensions
  - Blisters, tables, and capsules
- Penicillin Products
  - Oral suspensions
  - Blisters, tables, and capsules
  - Injectables
- Oncology products
  - Vials, tables, and suspensions
- Non Lactam Products
  - Vials, bottles, and blisters
The production volume is 5,500,000 of units per year and is increasing, with a new line of ConvaTec and over-the-counter products.
There are six packaging lines for operation; four are manual, one is semi-automated (labeling process), and one is automated (labeling & carton process).

Community and Social Progress

The facility's relationship with its neighbors is good; one fire hydrant project was completed with support of other companies to increase emergency fire response capabilities.
The facility has an emergency response team and all employees participate in EHS activities.
The use of personal protective equipment is mandatory when handling products.
A noise survey was performed at the site. Noise levels did not exceed 84 dBA.

Environmental Performance

The main risks identified at the facility include spills of hazardous materials (oncological products), fire due to the use of diesel and gasoline, and natural disasters.
